Having seen the attack systems, we begin to see defensive systems of the sport. In today's post we present the basic defense system called 6:0 defense.

As explained in attack systems, the name given to the defensive systems also make the distinction between the two defensive lines that start counting from the own goal. Therefore, the first line of defense is for players who are closer to the own goal and the second line for players that are further away from the goal.

What is the defensive system 6: 0?

The defensive system known as 6: 0 is one closed system in which only is distinguished one defensive line where players are placed next to each other between line 6 and 9 meters.

This defensive basic system can be used for any offensive system. The defensive system 6: 0 have their advantages and disadvantages according to the playing characteristics of the opposing team. For example, against teams with good shooting out (9 meters or more), this system is less efficient because the defenders have more difficult to prevent these releases. However, it is more efficient against teams that do not normally throw out and play more to move the ball from side to side with successive penetrations up to 6 meters shoot or play with the pivot.

The key feature of this system is the “pivot” of all players while following the path of the ball to hinder the rival attack with continuous contact when players enter in the space between 9 and 6 meters and supports between teammates, ie, closing gaps on both sides.

Después de haber visto los sistemas de ataque, pasamos a ver los sistemas defensivos propios de este deporte. En la entrada de hoy os presentamos el sistema básico defensivo llamado defensa 6:0.

Como explicamos en los sistemas de ataque, el nombre que reciben los sistemas defensivos también lo hacen por la distinción de las dos líneas defensivas que empiezan a contar desde la portería propia. Por tanto, la primera línea defensiva es para los jugadores que se encuentran más próximos a la portería propia y la segunda línea para los jugadores que se encuentran más lejos de la portería.

¿En qué consiste el sistema defensivo 6:0?

El sistema defensivo conocido como 6:0 es un sistema cerrado en el que únicamente se distingue una línea defensiva donde los jugadores se colocan uno al lado del otro entre la línea de 6 y 9 metros.

Este sistema básico defensivo puede utilizarse ante cualquier sistema ofensivo. El sistema defensivo 6:0 tiene sus ventajas y sus desventajas según las características de juego del equipo rival. Por ejemplo, ante equipos con buenos lanzadores de fuera (de 9 metros o más), este sistema resulta menos eficiente porque los defensores tienen mayores dificultades para impedir estos lanzamientos. Sin embargo, es más eficiente ante equipos que no suelen lanzar de fuera y juegan más a mover el balón de lado a lado con penetraciones sucesivas hasta lanzar de 6 metros o jugar con el pivote.

La característica fundamental de este sistema es la basculación de todos los jugadores al mismo tiempo siguiendo la trayectoria del balón para dificultar el ataque rival, con continuos contactos cuando los jugadores entran en el espacio entre 9 y 6 metros y con apoyos entre compañeros de defensa, es decir, cerrando huecos a ambos lados.

Defensa 6:0 en balonmano base

Este sistema es muy útil en balonmano base para entrenar aspectos fundamentales defensivos como son la basculación y el apoyo entre compañeros. Es importante que los jugadores asimilen  bien estos aspectos para poder seguir avanzando en la mejora de la defensa en balonmano.
