Attack 3:3

Today we present the first post about the offensive systems in handball. In this post we'll talk specifically about the attack system called 3:3 which is the classical system par excellence.

The reason for the names of the offensive systems

To clarify first the name given to the offensive systems, we will explain the name. Two lines of attack that begin from the own goal by the attacking team are distinguished:

- The first line could say it is for players who are closer to the goal of the attacking team.

- The second line is , then, for players who are located further away from the goal itself and therefore closer to the rival goal.

What is offensive system 3:3?

This system is commonly used to defenses 6: 0 the opposing team, but can be used with any type of defense and is the use of 3 players in the first line offensive line (playmaker and two backs) and three players in the second offensive line (both wingers and a pivot).

This offensive system is the core of an attack, which may be modified from other systems. For example, with a momentary movement of one winger, the system 3:3 basics of a team can become a 3: 3 with double pivot.

In addition, we may distinguish two modes in this system:

• The open, where the wingers are placed as open as possible in the corners of the court in order to also open the defense and exploit the gaps.
• The closed, where the wingers are placed at the intersection created by the 9m line and sideline with the main objective to facilitate support and improve ball movement.

Ataque 3:3

Hoy os presentamos la primera entrada sobre los sistemas ofensivos en balonmano. En esta entrada en concreto hablaremos sobre el sistema de ataque llamado 3:3 que es el sistema clásico por excelencia.

El porqué de los nombres de los sistemas defensivos

Para aclarar en un primer momento el nombre que reciben los sistemas ofensivos, vamos a explicar la denominación. Se distinguen dos líneas de ataque que empiezan a contarse desde la propia portería del equipo atacante:

-       La primer línea podríamos decir que es para los jugadores que se encuentran más próximos a la portería del equipo atacante.

-       La segunda línea es entonces para los jugadores que se localizan más lejos de la propia portería y por tanto más próximos a la portería rival.

¿En qué consiste el sistema ofensivo 3:3?

Este sistema es el que suele utilizarse ante defensas 6:0 del equipo rival, aunque se puede utilizar con cualquier tipo de defensa y consiste en el empleo de 3 jugadores en la primera línea ofensiva (central y dos laterales) y tres jugadores en la segunda línea ofensiva (dos extremos y un pivote).

Este sistema ofensivo es el básico de un ataque, del que pueden partir otros sistemas modificados. Por ejemplo, con una circulación momentánea de un extremo, el sistema 3:3 básico de un equipo puede transformarse en un 3:3 con doble pivote.

Además podemos distinguir dos modalidades dentro de este sistema:

•           La abierta, donde los extremos si sitúan lo más abiertos posible en las esquinas del campo con el objetivo de abrir también la defensa y aprovechar los huecos.
•       La cerrada, donde los extremos se colocan en la intersección creada por la línea de 9m y la línea de banda con el objetivo principal de facilitar los apoyos y mejorar la circulación de balón.
